Ananta Roosens, Violin Ananta's roots are in Antwerp, Belgium. However, she chose the Rotterdam conservatoire, for there she was able to combine her classical training with Thijs Kramer, with her desire to explore music from other cultures. Through playing in Orquesta Tipica OTRA , Ananta became enchanted by the Tango and decided to study the genre as a second major. Like Sophie de Rijk she studied argentinian tango with Gustavo Beijtelmann, Karel Kraaijenhof en Martijn van der Linden. Besides her participation in string quartet Pavadita, Ananta is violinist and artistic leader of Tango quartet Lunfardo. |
